Each year, the Innovention Series tries to identify one key idea that can change the world especially in an age where the global economy continues to trend so unpredictably.
While we may agree that what is holding Africa back are weak political institutions, deficient infrastructure and instability, however, as democracies are established across the continent and free trade opportunities continue to grow across borders, Africa needs a concerted agenda to ensure that it creates multiple streams of income if it must remain relevant globally. It is the aim of the Innovention Series to start the conversation on identifying and leveraging these untapped opportunities for collective progress. The objective of Innovention series is to bridge the gap between innovation and invention, share the spirit of African optimism, foster sustainability, growth and development in our communities, inspire gainful narratives and engagement, and create a platform for industry thought leaders to share knowledge.
